DAY 4: HAZARE ANNOUNCES JAIL BHARO MOVEMENT
Anna Hazare, entering his 4th day of fast, announced a 'jail bharo' movement across the country on April 13 after the government rejected his demands of chairmanship of the joint drafting committee to draft the Lokpal bill being given to a civil society member and for a formal notification. Hazare pitched for former Chief Justice of India JS Verma or former Supreme Court judge Santosh Hegde as chairman of the joint committee instead of government's suggestion that Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee should head it. read more
