The Sensex ended at 16154.62, up 117.11 points or 0.73%. The 30-share index touched intraday high 16257.34 and low of 16049.78 intraday.
Mobius on his blog post said, "From a long-term perspective, we continue to have a positive outlook on emerging economies".
Jim Rogers, Chairman, Rogers Holdings, is short on the index in India and on most emerging markets like Brazil and Indonesia.
