EXPERT VIEWS

"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come...I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee."

Steve Jobs
CEO, Apple
"All I can say is that if any wrong has been done by me, I invite the Leader of the Opposition to look at my property which I may have accumulated in the last 41 years. I would accept the verdict of the Leader of the Opposition if they find that I have used public office to amass wealth for myself or for any member of my family...Who is above making mistakes? To err is human but to accuse me of evil intentions, of conniving with corruption is a charge I firmly repudiated."

Manmohan Singh
Prime Minister
"We have sent letters to all the companies (telcos) that have recently hiked tariffs seeking justification as to why they have hiked the tariffs and the reasons for the same. The last one (letter) has gone to Reliance Communications...We'll examine what are the reasons they hiked, whether this hike is (justifiable)...whether there is any substance in what they are claiming."

Chairman, TRAI
