13/7: THREE BOMB BLAST ROCKS MUMBAI
Terror striked Mumbai once again with bomb blasts hitting three places --Zaveri Bazar, Opera House and Dadar -- at around 6.50-7 pm this evening, injuring over 50 people says unconfirmed reports. Police sources said the nature and intensity of the blasts were not known. The first explosion took place in south Mumbai's Zaveri Bazaar, near the famous Mumbadevi temple, in which some people were injured, said Mumbai Police spokesperson Nisar Tamboli. The bustling market also has a number of jewellery shops. The second blast took place at near Opera House, while the third explosion was reported near Kabutarkhana close to Dadar station. At the time of going to Press all telephone networks were jammed. The Union Home Ministry said the multiple explosions were a terror strike and that Improvised Explosive Devices (IED) were used. read more
