EXPERT VIEWS

"Anna Hazare will fast at Raj Ghat tomorrow (June 8) from 10 am to 6 pm. We will hold peaceful protest. The imposition of Section 144 when there is no law and order problem is illegal. The arrogance of the government should come down a bit. This is a democratic country. We never took the name of any individual. We are fighting for improvement in the system."

Arvind Kejriwal
RTI Activist
"There should not be any confusion about the fast. It will continue till this whole country is up against or united against corruption and blackmoney. We are doing satyagraha to wake up this government. If they don't wake up then there will be protest. There will be huge protests in the whole country."

Baba Ramdev
Yoga Guru
"There is no assurance (on supporting Christine Lagarde). We are working on a consensus. It would be difficult to say at this moment (whether there will be any common candidate from BRICS countries) because there was divergence of views in respect of South African candidature. So it is not possible to say whether there will be a common candidate or not."

Pranab Mukherjee
Finance Minister
