| | PAC REPORT REJECTED; JOSHI WALKS OUT 11 MPs, including one each from the Samajwadi Party and the Bahujan Samaj Party, of the 21-member Public Accounts Committee rejected the draft report on 2G scam that indicted former Telecom Minister A Raja and made critical comments on the Prime Minister and the then Finance Minister P Chidambaram. Congress member Saifuddin Soz was elected as chairman who put the resolution for rejection of the report to vote. This election took place after BJP Leader Murli Manohar Joshi left the meeting as Soz moved a resolution seeking a vote on the adoption of the draft report. In more drama, Soz later went to Joshi's office and handed over the "resolution" rejecting the report to his staff. rea d more | | | | AT A GLANCE | BSE | 19292.02 | -156.67 | NSE | 5785.45 | -48.45 | TURNOVER Rs. 241,446 cr | BSE CASH Rs. 2,994 cr | NSE CASH Rs. 15,777 cr | NSE F&O Rs. 222,675 cr | | | BULLION | GOLD | 22313 | +183 | SILVER | 72322 | +3502 | | | CRUDE | NYMEX | 102.25 | -0.08 | BRENT | 125.71 | +0.58 | | | FOREX | $ / Re | 44.44 | 0 | £ / Re | 74.104 | +0.09 | € / Re | 65.89 | +0.15 | | | EVENTS |

| "BJP wasted the time and money of the people and disrupted Parliament. I want to ask Murli Manohar Joshi how was the report leaked and who will take the responsibility of the leaked report. BJP has destroyed the institution of PAC."
Jayanthi Natarajan Congress Spokesperson "We see these attacks as a part of pattern. We want to know, how is it that when Mr Manmohan Singh found him (Murli Manohar Joshi) competent for the PAC chief, then how can he be called a villain. BJP strongly condemns these deliberate attacks on Murli Manohar Joshi by the Congress party."
Ravi Shankar Prasad BJP Spokesperson "The management has been lying about Air India losses. It is only corruption inside Air India and no losses. There should be a CBI probe into it. The management has held back our arrears for over three years now. The 800 pilots refuse to take orders from the Chairman of Air India."
