ADVANI BACKS UMA, SLAMS ANNA'S SUPPORTERS

EXPERT VIEWS

"I am very encouraged by what's happened in India...India has terrible corruption and something must be done about it...so many people... now pushing strongly against it, including 'the Gandhi-ist' Anna Hazare."

Julian Assange
Editor-in-Chief, WikiLeaks
"The traditional sources of economic growth are still under stress, even as fresh uncertainties have emerged as a result of recent developments in different parts of the world. Our (BRICS) positions on some key areas such as sustainable development, balanced growth, energy and food security...will be to our advantage."

Manmohan Singh
Prime Minister
"It is time to entrust the audit of Indian corporates with the Indian accountant firms. This would prevent 'deficient audits and financial statements of companies enabling massive accounting fraud to go undetected for several years' as in the Satyam case."

G Ramaswamy
ICAI President
