EXPERT VIEWS

"I feel sorry for Manmohan Singh. He is a weak Prime Minister. A person can be good but if he is weak and becomes the Prime Minister he can't control corruption. A Prime Minister for the first time had to file an affidavit in the Supreme Court. If JPC is constituted only for 2G scam then only DMK will be tainted. We want JPC on all scams including Commonwealth games and Adarsh."

LK Advani
Senior BJP Leader
"(On the Cairn-Vedanta deal) We cannot bailout any seller or buyer. We will not compromise on concerns of ONGC. We are trying to expedite the process. I think it may go to the cabinet in two-three weeks."

Jaipal Reddy
Oil Minister
"...all the 9 telecom companies, who received the licenses, are being questioned by the agencies (CBI) and it is not specific to any one company. Unitech is a responsible corporate, functioning within the guidelines prescribed by the sovereign government and abiding by the law of the land and has been fully co-operating with the investigating agency."
